Scarab, Steatite, Canaanite, 18th - 19th dynasty,
  length:  18.17 mm
  width:   12.87 mm 

Cartouche, “ka ka”.  Ka (k3) is the life force, the difference between a living and dead person.  Double ka would be a strong life force protector.  This combined with the uraei on either side and double (wdt) wedjat – sacred eyes above give this scarab very strong magical powers.  Above (ntr) nether – god. Petrie type H, pl. LXIII, 80.

This is an excellent piece wrapped with an ancient gold bezel.  The Translation is Beloved and beautiful Lord of Lower Egypt.

Two opposing figures seated with solar disk and "nb" above each; pillar in between; above is winged disk.

Well formed smaller scarab.  Could use some careful cleaning but nice overall.
