          rev.:  Zeus enthroned left holding scepter and eagle;
                  to right, ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔРΟΥ
         note:  A bit worn but excellent early style.  I carry a similar coin as a conversation piece!!

          note:  Sear prices this out at $600 in VF.  This piece is well worn but very pleasing with full name in legend.

          note:  Sear prices this coin at $400 in VF.  Although well worn, there is no mistaking the famous Nero portrait.

          note:  Priced in Sear M $88 in F. If one were to grade this from wear alone, it would probably be VF.  However, with the pitting on the reverse and roughness of the fields, I think fine would be a gift.  Still, it is over 1900 years old and of a famous Emperor.

          note:  Sear prices this coin at $160 in fine.  Nice portrait and reverse better looking than in the image.  A good inexpensive coin for this rare Emperor.

                         10.95 gm, SGI-157
        obv.:  Augustus and Agrippa, heads back-to-back,
                 Augustus facing right, wearing oak-wreath,
                 and Agrippa facing left, wearing rostral crown.
        rev.:  Crocodile facing right, chained to palm-tree,
                 the tip of which bends to the right, in field
                 above, wreath and streamers, in field beneath,
                 palm-branches.
        note: Reverse signifies the defeat of Egypt. This specimen has seen better days but these are becoming very difficult to find, in any condition.
